First Day of School!

Annabelle's first day of school is finally here! I (we) have been so excitied about this! It went very well! She had a great time. A little fussy at first, but was worn out when I picked her up! That's always a good sign that she had fun!

I went bead shopping yesterday in Greenville and found some great stuff! I came across these beautiful horoscope charms that I thought would make great necklaces! Check out some I have already worked on and added to my site! There are also some other new items just listed today!

Surgery went well!

Well, my surgery went very well! I've been at home resting comfortably and have had plenty of help with Annabelle! I'm so glad it's over with. I have been dreading that for weeks and it wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be.

One of my customers sent me this photo wearing my jewelry as a bridesmaid in a wedding. It just looks beautiful! I was so pleased to get the photo and to know she was happy with her purchase! She is wearing the Goddess Necklace and the Robin's Egg Earrings. The earring are made with large faceted sea blue quartz briollettes and the necklace features amazonite tear drop and small pink glass beads. Very delicate and feminine jewelry!

Annabelle Ballerina

Well, dance class is finally over for the summer. It's definitely been interesting! Annabelle loves the class, however, she seemed to get in trouble with the dance instructor quite a bit. At one point, it got a little embarressing for Chris and me. I really hate to admit it, but she's the bad kid in class. and This just can't be. Not my child! And the truth is, she really is a good kid. She just gets so excited in dance that she can't even hear the teacher tell her to stop running into the walls!! I keep telling myself she is still so young, only 3. This should turn around soon! It's definitely been a case of the terrible 3's. Age 2 was a breeze compared to this! Anyway, here are some photos taken from her last class. C'est la vie...

Sorry It's been a while

So sorry it's been a while since my last post. This summer has turned out to be busier than expected! I did sell some pieces recently on my etsy website. The goddess necklace and robin's egg earrings sold a couple of weeks ago. However, sales have been slow lately. Hope things pick up for the upcoming holidays. I have been busy working on some new pieces. I'm into sterling silver these days. My latest work will feature sterling silver chains and wire co created with semi-precious stones, like rose quartz and chalcedony. Please check out my site in the next few days. I am going to be working on the photographs and listings.

Amazing Bead Show

Market turned out to be absolutely fabulous! I found so many wonderful beads and now have many great ideas. I got a good variety of semi precious stones like lemon quartz, smokey quartz, rose quartz, aquamarine, citrine, and pink amethyst. I also found a strand of turqoise that is so beautiful! I got a good helping of fresh water pearls in some very unique colors, like avocado green and copper. I have already created some beautiful things with the materials I found and have many more to come! Here are some pieces I have just added to my site!

Going to Market!

Unfortunately Annabelle refuses to take a nap today! Guess that's what I get for letting her sleep til 8:30 this morning. At least I can now look forward to an early bedtime tonight!

Camping Trip

Recently my husband and I took our daughter and two dogs camping in Pisgah National Forest near Brevard, NC. It was a lot of fun! It definitely got me out of my comfort zone for awhile! Annabelle loved it! Especially playing in the river we camped right beside. We hiked, made smores by the campfire and visited the fish hatchery trout farm. It was amazing! Here are some great pics of our trip!

A new sale

Yeah!! I just had a new sale on my site. I sold the monet earrings and matching bracelet! I'm so excited, especially since its been a while since I've had a sale! Here are pics of the monet earrings and bracelet that just sold. I'm very proud of them. I spent many hours creating this piece of jewelry!

Here is some of my work featured on my Etsy website at www.pixiehandmade.etsy.com. This necklace features a coffee quartz tear drop, smokey quartz tear drop and a sea blue quartz tear drop that dangles on a gold filled chain. A small antique gold butterfly charm is added for a feminine touch.
